These terms cover the text messages sent by ALMA my friend, the companion app made by ALMA MY FRIEND, LLC, Poinciana, Florida. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy: almamyfriend.com/privacy-policy.

SMS Terms

What this program is.

ALMA my friend sends text alerts to family members and friends who have joined someone’s ALMA Circle. The texts go out only when the ALMA user asks for them:

• Get help: when they press the Get help button, asking you to check on them. It always says: if this is an emergency, call 911, ALMA cannot.
• Please call: when they ask ALMA to let you know they’d like to talk.
• A missed reminder: only if they turn this on and choose you. It never names a medication.

ALMA never sends advertising, offers or promotions by text.

How to join.

Text JOIN to (321) 321-4688 from your own phone. By texting JOIN, you agree to receive recurring automated alert texts from ALMA my friend as described on this page. You will get one reply confirming you have joined. Joining is free and is never a condition of buying anything. Our sign-up page is almamyfriend.com/alerts.

How often.

Message frequency varies. Texts are sent only when one of the moments above happens; there is no schedule. Most people get a few texts a month at most, and many get none.

Message and data rates may apply.

Your mobile carrier’s normal rates for text messages and data apply.

How to stop.

Reply STOP to (321) 321-4688 at any time. You will get one reply confirming you have stopped, and ALMA will not text you again. To join again, reply START or JOIN.

Texts can be late.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. A text can arrive late or not at all, which is why Get help is never a substitute for calling 911.

Your number.

Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent collected by ALMA my friend will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. More in our Privacy Policy, Section 7.

Changes.

If these terms change, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
